Kobe Bryant, one of basketball’s greatest players and most masterful scorers of all time, was among the passengers who died Sunday in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. 

Bryant was 41.

“Kobe Bryant was a giant who inspired, amazed, and thrilled people everywhere with his incomparable skill on the court — and awed us with his intellect and humility as a father, husband, creative genius, and ambassador for the game he loved,” Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a statement. “He will live forever in the heart of Los Angeles, and will be remembered through the ages as one of our greatest heroes.”

Коби Бийн Брайънт е американски баскетболист, играл за Лос Анджелис Лейкърс на позицията гард от 1996 до 2016 г. Брайънт е висок 198 см. Петкратен шампион е на НБА и двукратен олимпийски шампион. Загива в авиокатастрофа на 26 януари 2020 г.
